TAILGATE

CAUTIONS FOR OPENING/CLOSING DEVICES

• Do not allow children to play with any switch, door lever,

and driving equipment.

• When closing the windows, sunroof, engine hood, and

tailgate, be aware of safety conditions before operation.
Parts of the body can be trapped.

• Make sure that doors, sunroof, engine hood, fuel filler

door, and tailgate are completely closed before driving.

• When carrying children, use the child safety devices not

to open the windows and doors.

• Parts of the body can be trapped in window or sunroof

and can be struck by passing objects. Do not stick
hands, head or anything else out of the openings.

Tailgate Opening Lever

Lock

Unlock

To open the tailgate, unlock the tailgate and pull up the tail-
gate opening lever  .

Exhaust gases are poisonous. Do not run the engine with the tail-
gate open to avoid exhaust gas in passenger compartment.

An open tailgate while vehicle is in motion could cause a falling down
of luggage, resulting in an unexpected accident. Do not travel with
the tailgate open.
