IGNITION KEY, REMOTE CONTROL KEY

The Immobilizer System provides an additional theft deterrent to the vehicle in which it is installed and prevents it from being
started by unauthorized persons. When the ignition key with integrated transponder is turned to the ON position, ECU (Engine
Control Unit) checks the crypto code of key and, if correct, allow your vehicle to start the engine.

When the ignition key with integrated tran-
sponder is turned to the ON position, ECU
(Engine Control Unit) checks the crypto
code of key and, if correct, allow your ve-
hicle to start the engine.

Immobilizer Indicator

This indicator indicates the operating conditions
of immobilizer system. This indicator comes on
when the ignition key is communicating with the
engine control unit (during engine starting) and
goes out after starting the engine. If this indica-
tor blinks, it may indicate that there is something
wrong in the immobilizer system. Have the sys-
tem checked by Ssangyong Dealer or Ssangyong
Authorized Service Operation.
