Inspect the following:

Valve timing

Internal transaxle components
z
Brake system for dragging

Inspect for cause.

KNOCKING/PINGING - ACCELERATION/CRUISE
DESCRIPTION
Sound is heard when air/fuel mixture is ignited by something other than spark plug
(such as hot spot in combustion chamber).
POSSIBLE CAUSE
z
Engine overheating due to cooling system malfunction
z
CHT sensor malfunction
z
IAT sensor malfunction
z
MAF sensor malfunction
z
Knock sensor malfunction
z
Erratic signal from CMP sensor
z
Inadequate engine compression
z
Inadequate fuel pressure
WARNING:
