DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Inspect the following components for
loose attaching bolts or worn parts:
z
Cooling fan
z
Drive belt and pulleys
z
Generator
z
Engine mounts
z
Exhaust system mounts
All items normal?
Yes
Inspect the following systems:
z
Wheels
z
ATX
z
Driveline
z
Suspension
No
Readjust or retighten engine mount
installation position.
Service if necessary for other parts.

Verify test results.

If normal, return to diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.

If malfunction remains, inspect related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair
Information and perform repair or diagnosis.

If vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed.
z
If vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not
available, replace the PCM.

A/C DOES NOT WORK SUFFICIENTLY.
DESCRIPTION
A/C compressor magnetic clutch does not engage when the A/C switch is turned
on.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
z
Improper refrigerant charging amount
z
Open the A/C magnetic clutch
z
Open circuit in wiring harness between A/C relay and A/C magnetic clutch
z
Poor GND of A/C magnetic clutch
z
Refrigerant pressure switch is stuck open.
z
A/C relay is stuck open.
z
Seized A/C compressor
z
Open circuit in wiring harness between A/C switch and PCM through both
refrigerant pressure switch and A/C amplifier
