8. Rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the keyway is in the 11 o'clock position. (This will position the No.1
cylinder at TDC.)
9. Follow the "TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" procedure and install the timing chain.

10. Remove the
SSTs
installed to the camshaft components on both banks.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover. (See

3. Remove the ventilation hose. (see

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose. (see

5. Remove the resonance chamber. (see

6. Remove the dynamic chamber and throttle body as a single unit. (see

7. Disconnect the wiring harness.
8. Remove the ignition coils. (see

9. Remove the dipstick.
10. Remove the cylinder head cover. (See

11. Remove the OCV.
Tightening torque
8.5-11.5 N.m {87-117 kgf.cm, 76-101 in.lbf}
