INSPECT PCV VALVE HEATER
CONTROL AND PCV VALVE
HEATER FITTING CIRCUIT FOR
SHORT TO GROUND
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Inspect for continuity between the
following circuit:
{
PCV valve heater control
terminal B (wiring harness-
side) and body ground
{
PCV valve heater fitting
terminal B (wiring harness-
side) and body ground
z
Are there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part, then go to
Step 9.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR
POOR CONNECTION
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Disconnect PCM connector.
z
Inspect for poor connection (such
as damaged/pulled-out pins,
corrosion).
z
Are there any malfunction?
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part, then go to
Step 9.
No
Go to the next step

INSPECT PCV VALVE HEATER
CONTROL AND PCV VALVE
HEATER FITTING FOR OPEN
CIRCUIT
z
Inspect for continuity between the
following circuit:
{
PCV valve heater control
terminal B (wiring harness-
side) and PCM terminal
2BL (wiring harness-side)
{
PCV valve heater fitting B
(wiring harness-side) and
PCM terminal 2AU (wiring
harness-side)
z
Are there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace suspected part, then go to
Step 9.

Yes
Replace the malfunctioning part, then go
to the next step.
