4.6 Process Data High-speed Response Function
4.6.1 Overview
The UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A has a function that reads periodically the
process data from the UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A itself and the process data
from other serial devices connected to the RS-485 serial communication line and stores
them in the UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A.
With this function, when process data read-out command is sent form the host computer,
the UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A can return the process data stored in itself at
high speed, without communicating with the serial devices one by one. This function is
called the Process data high-speed response function.
The figure below shows the data flow when the host computer reads process data in the
case of not using / using the function.

(1) The host compiter sends the command to read the
process data from the serial devices through the
UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A.
(2) The UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A sends
the command to the serial devices using the
Ethernet-serial gateway function.
(3) The serial devices return the process data.
(4) The UT75A/UT55AUT/35A/UP55A/UP35A sends
the received process data to the host computer
using the Ethernet-serial gateway function.

(2) The UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A returns
the process data of the serial devices stored in the
UT75A/UT55A/UT35A/UP55A/UP35A to the host
computer.
