6.04 Four Modes of Text
6.04.1 Type Tool
•
Hold down the mouse button on the
Type Tool
icon
on the
Tools Panel
and select the top choice:
Type Tool.
•
Click anywhere on the
Cutting Mat
and begin typing. Note that:
Pressing the
Enter
key will move the cursor to a new line and you can continue typing
Clicking elsewhere on the
Cutting Mat
will allow you to begin adding new text at that location
When done, either press the
Esc
key or click on the
Select
icon
on the
Tools Panel
6.04.2 Vertical Type Tool
•
Hold down the mouse button on the
Type Tool
icon
on the
Tools Panel
and select the second choice:
Vertical
Type Tool.
•
Click anywhere on the
Cutting Mat
and begin typing. Note that:

will allow you to begin adding new text at that location
When done, either press the
Esc

Select
icon
on the
Tools Panel
Select a font
Click on
individual
characters to
add them to the
Cutting Mat
