Custom setting
• Default: Custom setting
Zoom Zoom range: between 25 and 400% in 1 % steps for image enlargement and reduction.
The setting value is set via direct key entry or by pressing up/down arrow keys.
• Default: 100%
Note: As result, if the resolution is higher than 600dpi or lower than 75 dpi, zoom is
made by software process.
(Note): Zoom is performed using the software process by changing the resolution level.
Slide bar for brightness
and contrast setting / value
entry box User can change the brightness / contrast setting.
• Setting range: between –100 and +100
Auto adjust box for input/
output level When the button is pushed, all levels for image brightness, contrast and input/output
level are automatically adjusted.
• When each of brightness and contrast settings has been made, the value entry box is
invalid.
When the “mono binary” has been selected, the box is invalid.
Image quality adjust Threshold Threshold range for mono: from 1 to 254
Setting is made via slide bar or entering value
• Default: 128
• Threshold is valid only when the “mono: simplebinary” is selected.
Gamma Adjustment User can adjust the gamma curve by the gamma setting or free curve (input/output
curve).
The range of the gamma setting is between 0.10 and 9.99 and the standard is 1.0.
Auto Threshold adjustment Click this key to make pre-scan for threshold adjustment. After making pre-scan, most
appropriate value is set for the threshold.
• This function is invalid when “mono binary” is invalid.
B/W reverse When it is checked, the engine makes black and white gradation reverse.
• Default: not checked
B/W reverse is valid, only when either “mono: binary” or “B/W: error diffusion” is
selected.
Edge emphasis
User can select an image
process method for edge
via pull down list. None, Normal, Sharp, Soft
• Default: Normal
Edge emphasis is invalid when either “mono: binary” or “B/W: error diffusion” is selected.
Color matching
User can select a color
matching method via pull
down list. None, Printer, CRT, LCD, ICM
