B. Adjustment
1. First, set an original in the RADF, and copy it in the single-side
mode.
2. Examine the image on the copy to determine the deviation
from normal.
3. If the image is askew as in (1) or (2), loosen the securing
screws on the right and left hinges, sufficiently loosen the
square-hole screw on the skew adjustment screw tip on the
right hinge, and rotate the adjustment screw in the direction
shown in the figure, only as much as necessary.
4. After adjusting, while using a screwdriver to keep the adjust-
ment screw from moving, tighten the securing screws on the
right and left hinges.
(1) If a – b > 0
(2) If a – b < 0
Magnet catch adjustment
(Position of the belt unit relative to the copier glass upper surface)
1) Remove the front cover of RADF.
2) With the spacer parts of the belt unit touching the glass sur-
face, secure the magnet catches to the suction plates with the
screws.
Make the gap between the glass surface and each spacer 0.5
mm or less.
Reverse flapper solenoid adjustment
1) Remove the front cover of RADF.
2) With the reverse unit positioned as shown in the figure below,
move the BKT-REV-SOL so that the BKT end comes to the
exact center of the engraved markings. After adjusting, tighten
the screws.
Adjust BKT-BA-KAIHEI so that, when the DF is being closed from
the open condition, the microswitch turns ON when the gap
between the copier and BASE-BA-69 (front side, lower surface) is
between 30 to 60 mm. Tighten the securing screw.
