KEYBOARD FAIL-
URE
When pressing a UIF, the IPMS starts a timer on the
node concerned by the motion. If the “Start motion”
command is received before the delay has expired,
motion is authorized, otherwise an error is transmit-
ted to Poseidon”. Delay is 100 ms. This requirement
does not apply for tilt node and decompression
motion.
Occurs when CPU sends a "Start Motion" to the
node whereas no previous command on CAN
towards the CPU is read by the node before.
1. Try other motions (rotation for example), if the
button not pressed appears as well, there is a
CAN communication problem.
2. Otherwise, try same lift motion but by pressing
other buttons than the initial one.
- if the button not pressed appears as well, the
faulty FRU is the Lift board
- if the button not pressed appears only when the
initial Lift button is pressed then the faulty FRU is
the board linked to the UIF that has been
pressed for the motion. For, example the faulty
FRU is the Lift board, Compression board, or
Tube Tilt board.
3. Lift, Compression, or Tilt recalibration is
requested following corresponding board
replacement.

LIFT SOFTWARE
ERROR
The watch-dog receives a pulse from microcontroller
every 40 ms. If not, it resets the microcontroller,
node restarts and sends a boot-up signal to Gantry
CPU. The only possible reason for a boot-up of a
node after system power-up is a reset by watchdog.
Therefore, when Gantry CPU receives the boot-up
signal, it produces the SWOverRun error.
This failure is linked to a firmware problem (micro-
controller or CPLD). Change the Lift board then per-
form Lift Calibration.

LIFT POSITION
ERROR
There is a Potentiometer defect. Lift node checks
that the signal coming from the potentiometer is
within an acceptable range.
