Key Guard

Protecting Your Phone Against Accidental Key Presses

Key guard keeps you from inadvertently activating a function if you happen to press
the Side keys when the mova is closed.

•

You can use the Side keys when the mova is open.

In standby, press and hold down

(menu).

•

Even when the mova is closed, you can press the Side keys in the following cases: (see p.9)

•

Put a call on hold while ringing (Answer Hold), record a caller message (Quick Record Message)

•

Record the caller’s voice while talking during connecting the switch-equipped earphone/microphone (In-
call Voice Memo), turn on WOWVoice (WOWVoice)

•

Photograph a still image, a video clip or quit photographing after activating the camera with the mova
opened and closing it.

•

Stop the alarm tone or mail ringtone, etc.

•

Disappear the message reception screen on the Inspiration window.

•

The Key Guard is not canceled even after the mova is turned off by the Auto Power Off function.

When the key guard is set

Canceling the Key Guard

In standby, press and hold down

(menu).

The Key Guard is canceled.

•

Alternatively, you can cancel by pressing and holding down

with the mova closed.

The confirmation screen appears followed by the Standby screen.
After this operation, you cannot use Side keys when the mova is closed.
Besides, the camera cannot be activated by opening the lens cover.
When the mova is closed, the Key Guard icon (

) appears on the Inspiration

window even when the date, time and the icon are set to nondisplay. (The icon
is not displayed in the main display.)
