Change Terminal ID

Changing the Terminal ID Number

The settings and cancellations of some mova terminal functions require entry of an ID
code. This ID code is referred to as the terminal ID number. Set your own terminal ID
number, so that only you can make settings and cancellations.

•

Be sure to keep a separate record of your terminal ID number, network ID number and your
i-mode password. If you forget your ID number or password, you will have to bring your mova to
our service center to change codes and passwords. You must then present a valid form of ID
card such as a driver’s license to prove your identity.

In standby, select “setting”

“privacy”

“security code” from the menu.

Enter your current 4-digit terminal ID number.

•

The default terminal ID number is “0000”.

•

Entered numbers are masked with a series of “_”
characters.

•

If you make a mistake, use

to delete the “_”

characters and then reenter the correct number.

•

When the entered terminal ID number is not correct,
the “wrong security code is input” message appears
followed by the Standby screen.

•

When no terminal ID number has been entered after
15 seconds, the Standby screen is automatically
displayed. Repeat the operation from the beginning.

Enter a new 4-digit terminal ID number.

•

The new terminal ID must be between “0000” and “9999”. “#” and “

” cannot be used.

•

If you make a mistake, use

to delete the number and then reenter the correct one.

Select “YES” and press

(select).

Your terminal ID number is changed.

•

To not change, select “NO”.

•

Network ID number
Optional services such as the Voice Mail Service, Call Forwarding Service require their own security code.
You must select a Network ID number when subscribing to optional services.
You cannot change the Network ID number from your mova or another phone.

•

i-mode password
You must enter your i-mode password to add and delete items in My Menu, apply for or cancel Message
Services and i-mode pay sites, and make mail settings. When you first subscribe to i-mode, it is set to
“0000”. We recommend that you change the password (see p.283).

•

Authentication password
A password used for data transmission via infrared communication. Set up a 4-digit authentication
password that will be used by the sender and recipient.
