communication purposes.

How to work with the i-

α

ppli Standby screen

To perform operations such as setting or working with the i-

α

ppli Standby screen, switch to the application

execution screen first.

In standby, press 

.

The application execution screen appears. (The guide bar changes to an application guide bar.)

•

While the application execution screen appears either 

(i-

α

ppli) or 

(i-

α

ppli DX) blinks.

•

The actual operation to return to the i-

α

ppli Standby screen may differ depending on the application.

(Some applications return to the i-

α

ppli Standby screen by pressing 

again.)

•

You can receive an incoming call while the application execution screen is displayed. When the call ends,
you can return to the application execution screen.

•

If mail or Message is received while the application execution screen, an icon appears (see p.423).

•

When Receive Option is on, the icon does not appear even if mail is received while the execution screen
is displayed. When the i-

α

ppli Standby screen reappears, “

left in center” appears.

•

Mail and Messages have not been received. To receive them, execute Check New Message or Mail
Optional Reception.

•

When a specified time of Easy Timer, Alarm Time or Schedule arrives while displaying the application
execution screen, the screen changes to the alarm screen or Schedule screen. After the screen
disappears you can return to the application execution screen.
