Record Sound 

Recording a sound to Be Used as a Ringtone

Recording a sound

You can make a recording of your own voice and use it as a ringtone. 

•

Maximum recording time : About 30 seconds

•

Recorded sounds are saved under “melody” in the built-in memory.
Maximum number of melodies that can be saved (see p.536)

In standby, select “setting” 

“sound

•

vibrator” 

“REC SND melody” from the

menu.

•

If any recorded sound is already stored, the recorded sound list is displayed.

Record a sound.

Select “record new” from the submenu.

Press

(record).

Speak into the microphone. 

A prompt appears when

(stop) is pressed or when about 30 seconds has elapsed. 

•

The voice is recorded via the microphone. Keep the microphone as close as about 10 cm to
your mouth.

■

To play back a recorded sound

1

Press (play). 

The recorded sound is played back twice (No sound is heard when you set the phone to not
play sounds).

•

A prompt appears asking whether to play back while in Manner Mode or Drive Mode. Select
“YES” to play back and then press

(select). To not play back, select “NO”.

•

To halt playback, press

(stop). 

•

To adjust the sound volume level, press 

to select a sound level and then press 

(set).

Select “YES” to save and then press 

(select). 

The recorded sound is saved.

•

To cancel the operation, select “NO”.

•

When there is not enough free space in the built-in memory or the maximum number of
melodies is reached, a prompt appears asking whether to overwrite existing sounds (see p.540).

•
