i-mode Mail
i-mode subscribers can send and receive mail to and from other i-mode compatible
mobile phones or via Internet email.
Mail address at the time of a new i-mode subscription
The entry before the @ sign consists of a series of random alphanumeric characters; check your mail
address after you subscribed to i-mode.
Example: abc1234-789xyz@docomo.ne.jp

How to check your own mail address
Select “
Options” “ Mail Settings” “Confirm Mail Address” from the iMenu.

When exchanging mail between i-mode compatible mobile phones, enter the portion only before the
@ sign in the mail address.

When receiving Internet email, enter the entire mail address including “@docomo.ne.jp”.

Selecting and receiving i-mode mall
You can check the receiving date and time, subject and sender and then select whether to receive or
delete mail to receive only certain mail items (see p.336).
■ Changing mail address
The portion of the mail address before the @ sign can be changed as needed, e.g.
“docomo.
ΔΔ _ab1234yz@docomo.ne.jp” (see p.361).
■ Registering a Secret code
When you use phone number as your mail address, you can set a 4-digit Secret code in addition to
the phone number. This setting allows you to reject unwanted mail that does not include the Secret
code (see p.362).
■ Using your phone number as your mail address (Reset Address)
You can set the mail address to “<phone number> @docomo.ne.jp.” (see p.363).
■ Confirming mail addresses
You can check your current mail address (see p.362).

Rejecting specific mail
You can use the following mail settings to restrict mail you receive:
• Receive Mail from Selected Domains
You can receive mail only from mobile phones of the carriers you specify (au, Vodafone, Tu-Ka,
and/or DDI Pocket). You can also receive mail only from the domains and/or addresses you specify
(see p.364).
Note: Your mova receives all of NTT DoCoMo i-mode mail, i-shot mail, Charge Notice Service mail,
e-billing notification mail, and M-stage Visual Net mail.
