The folder and data are deleted.

To cancel the operation, select “NO”.
•
You can cancel deletion by pressing (cancel) in the screen displayed during deleting. Note,
however, that previously deleted data cannot be restored.
Formatting the
Memory Stick Duo
The Memory Stick Duo must be formatted to use it on the mova. Note that formatting
the Memory Stick Duo deletes all data saved on it.
•
When the Memory Stick Duo is formatted, folders other than the “unset folder” or “100_USER”
are deleted.
•
The Memory Stick Duo cannot be restored to the state before formatting by stopping a format
operation.
1 In standby, select “memory stick” from the menu.

When Memory Stick Lock is on, enter the 4-digit terminal ID number.
•
If you insert an unformatted Memory Stick Duo, a message indicating that it is not formatted
appears.
•
When data items and folders saved in the Memory Stick Duo are deleted, “read only data will also be
deleted” or “read only data is set” may be displayed. “read only data” is the attribute that you can set to
data items and folders on a PC and other devices. Note that, even when “read only data” is set, the D506i
allows you to delete the data.

The Memory Stick Duo is formatted and ready to use by default. Only the format menu can be
selected when an unformatted Memory Stick Duo is inserted in the mova. Format the Memory Stick
Duo in the mova before use.
The
Memory Stick Duo which is formatted with a PC may not be used correctly in the mova.
