Setting the Record Message function
The phone can be set to play an answer message that you have recorded.

Recording an answer message (see p.84)
The following icons are displayed depending on the Record Message setting and how
many recorded messages and In-call Voice memos have been made.
1 In standby, select “setting” “record message” “record message” from
the menu.
The answer message selection screen appears.
2 Select “1.preset message” or “2.own message” and press (select).
Record Message is set.
•
Select “1. preset message” to play the answer message provided by default.
•
Select “2. own message” to play your own recorded answer message.
•
To cancel the setting, select “3. no”.
•
When 10 items have already been recorded, or the remaining recording time is less than 10
seconds, you cannot change this setting. However, you can cancel it.
The phone operates as described below according to the Record Message setting of the Manner Mode
Selection when Manner Mode is set.

When Record Message is set
: Record Message is set (when a recorded message or In-call Voice memo has
not yet been recorded)
: Recorded messages or In-call Voice memos have been recorded (the number
indicates the total number of recorded messages and In-call Voice memos).*
: 10 recordings have been made or the remaining recording time is less than
10 seconds.*
* A blue icon indicates that the Record Message function is on; a gray icon indicates
that the Record Message function is off.
