Saved data is retained in memory for about 1 month when the battery is removed or depleted but may be
lost after that. Since data may also be lost due to failure of the mova, or repair or other handling
procedures, it is recommended that you maintain the data in another form, such as in a notebook. NTT
DoCoMo assumes no responsibility for the loss of saved data. The saved data can be saved using
“
Memory Stick Duo” or the designated data link software (see p.485, 594).
•
You can save the name, reading, phone numbers 1 to 3 and mail addresses 1 to 3 to “
Memory Stick Duo”
(see p.486).
•
The Image settings are not saved. Since images are saved in the built-in memory separately from the
Phonebook, even when you copy or move a Phonebook entry to “
Memory Stick Duo”, the image is not
copied or moved.
•
You can copy the name, reading, phone number 1, mail address 1, group name, the setting of the Secret
memory and the contents of Bookmarks to a new phone at any DoCoMo service center. Note that
depending on the specifications of a new phone you may not be able to copy data saved in the mova.
•
If pictographs are saved in the Phonebook, they may not be displayed properly when you transfer the
Phonebook data.

Phone numbers that are saved with a 186 or 184 prefix at the beginning of the number still display the
name if the Caller ID is included. The name is also displayed in the Redial data and Dial history of the
Private diary if the number including the 186 or 184 prefix completely matches a Phonebook entry. Dial
history items in groups that are set so that they are automatically saved in the Private diary are saved
automatically regardless of the 184 or 186 prefix.

In the following cases, the name is not displayed even when the phone number or mail address matches.
The phone number is not displayed while Keypad Lock is set. Also, the ringtone set in the Sound setting,
pattern set in the Vibrator setting or color set in the Illumination setting has priority over the ringtone,
