Saving Short Mail
1 In the compose Short Mail screen, select “save” from the submenu.
Composed Short Mail is saved in the Outmail box as unsent mail.

Saving Short Mail and sending it later
Composed Short Mail can be saved without being sent. You can send it later.
•
Maximum number of mail that can be saved (see p.347)
4 Select and press (select).
You are connected to the Short Mail Center and the Short Mail item is sent.
When transmission is complete, “transmission completed, check guidance”
appears. Wait until an announcement indicating completion is played.

Alternatively, you can select “send” from the submenu.
•
Sent Short Mail is saved in the Outmail box.
•
Press to stop sending Short Mail while sending mail.
•
Up to 50 characters can be sent to mobile phones that do not support using kanji characters in Short Mail
Service (the 203, 204, 205, and 153 series). Note that kanji, hiragana, and other two-byte characters sent
to these models may not be displayed correctly.
•
In poor signal conditions the characters of the message may not be displayed correctly on the receiving
side.
•
Short Mail that could not be sent is saved in the Outmail box as unsent mail and can be resent (see p.327).
•
When Short Mail is sent, a log is recorded in the Redial data, Dial history of the Private Diary, and Re-mail
data (see p.51, 254, 359).
Note, however, that the redial function does not allow you to resend Short Mail but does allow you to make
a voice call (the Dial history in the private diary provides similar functionality).

Even if the other party is stored in the phonebook as Secret memory, if you send Short Mail, the phone
number remains in the Redial data, Dial history of the Private Diary, Re-mail data, and the Outmail box.
Delete the data to keep the information secret (see p.52, 255, 358, 360).

When your mova is connected to the Short Mail Center, the message is automatically sent from the phone;
though the announcement is skipped, this is not a problem.
