Displaying new Messages

The Message R list appears.

•

Select “message F” to display a Message F.

In the message reception screen, select “message R”and press 

(select).

If you receive a Message while operating

When a Message is received during any of the following, a prompt appears asking whether to
quit the function in use. Select “YES” and press 

(select) to quit the function and display the

received Message (the item being edited is not saved). To return to the screen that was
displayed prior to the reception screen without displaying the received Message, select “NO”.

•

While displaying sites, Screen memos or received mail items

•

While taking images

•

While displaying an editing screen, such as the Phonebook entry screen or compose mail screen

Displaying a Message R

Example

•

The call indicator flashes while receiving Messages or when the Message ringtone sounds. You can set
the color of the indicator and whether to flash (see p.219).

•

When Recall Indicator is on, the call indicator keeps flashing until you display the new Message.

•

When Messages you have not received still remain in the i-mode center for certain reasons such as there
is no room left in the Message box, if the message reception screen is automatically switched to the
Standby screen or to the screen that was displayed prior to the reception screen, the 

icon appears in

the Standby screen.

N o t e

When you close the mova, the Inspiration window is displayed as follows. If you open the mova when the
message reception is completed, the message reception screen appears.

(select).)
