The Phonebook search results, Redial data and Call history can be used to select a
party to send mail to. In the “receiver” field, the recipient mail address is set if the
Phonebook has a mail address and a phone number is set if there is no mail address.
•
When Phonebook Access Lock is set, you cannot compose mail by selecting a recipient from
the Phonebook, Redial data or Call history.
•
You can send i-mode mail by specifying a phone number as an address only when the mail
address of the other party is “<phone number>@docomo.ne.jp”.
•
When composing i-mode mail from the Redial data or Call history, the phone number appears in
the “receiver” field if the party is stored in Secret memory.
1 Select a recipient from the Phonebook, Redial data, Call history, etc. and press

Alternatively, you can preview the Phonebook saved to the Memory Stick Duo to compose mail.
You can send mail to the mail address set in “ 1” in the Phonebook.

While in standby, you can compose mail without opening the Phonebook by instead entering the
last 1 or 2 digits of the Phonebook Memory number (000 to 099). (You can also compose mail
by displaying a recipient mail address saved to Scratch Pad.) Note that these operations cannot
be used when neither the phone number nor mail address is saved in the Phonebook or when
the party is stored in Secret memory.
■ When only one mail address is saved in the entry
The mail address is entered in the “to 1” field.
2 Compose mail and send it.

Follow Steps 2 - 5 in Composing and Sending i-mode Mail (see p.322).
■ When two or more mail addresses are saved in the entry

Select the desired recipient mail address and
press (select).
The selected mail address is entered in the “to 1”
field.
■ When no mail address is saved to the entry
The phone number is entered in the “to 1” field.

If you enter the last 1 or 2 digits of the Phonebook Memory number and press , a recipient
selection screen appears when two or more phone numbers are saved to the Phonebook
entry. Select the desired phone number and press
(select).
