Some applications allow you to perform various operations using the mova’s camera
and infrared communication functions.

Scan a code from within an application

The barcode scanning screen appears.

•

Barcode Reader ends in about 3 minutes if no action is performed.

You can use the mova’s camera from within an application to scan a barcode (JAN
code or QR code).

•

JAN and QR codes (see p.192)

Operate camera functions from within an application.

The photography screen appears.

The camera exits in about 3 minutes if no action is performed.

This exits the camera.

Point the camera at the subject and press 

(photo) or

The still image is taken and displayed.

•

Shooting procedure (see p.135, 136)

•

You can manipulate various settings such as the zoom, Auto timer, Compact light, photo effects,
photography information, and Voice shutter. The operating procedure is the same as for normal
photography. (This settings are only valid while shooting from the application. Also, you can
select Voice Shutter on or off only when you set it on in the Camera setting.)

•

If the Burst mode is set in the application, you can select the burst speed “auto (quick)”, “auto
(standard)”, “auto (slow)” from the “burst speed” submenu for Open Shoot or from the “burst
speed” photography menu for Close Shoot.

•

You cannot display the latest image, set/release the Frame shoot, reset the photo effects,
specify the Camera settings, or set/release the Burst mode (but you can change the burst
speed).

•

Pressing 

does not exits the camera. Open the mova and perform the operation.

You can take still images with the mova’s camera from within an application.

•

The still images you took are used and saved in the application. They are not saved in “camera
album” of the built-in memory or the 

Memory Stick Duo.

•

There are 3 image sizes: “i-shot (S)”, “i-shot (L)”, and “wallpaper”.
