•

Images are automatically loaded when unread Image mail is displayed.

•

When a read Image mail is displayed, the phone operates as follows:

•

A prompt appears asking whether to download the image if it has not yet been received. Select “YES” and
press

(select) to receive the image. To not receive the image, select “NO”.

•

When you display a mail item saved together with the image, the received image is displayed as is.

•

When the size of the image data exceeds the amount of data that can be received, the image appears with
part of it missing.

•

When you receive a mail item that has multiple image URLs and the data volume of all the images
exceeds the amount that can be received, only what can be received is displayed.

•

If you read mail in the Inspiration window, images are not auto-downloaded.

•

Images that cannot be received are indicated by

(not received) or

(reception failed). Press

(return) to

display the URL, then receive the images manually (see p.344).

You can set the mova to automatically download images when the Image mail is
displayed.

In standby, select “mail setting”

“loading image” from the mail menu.

•

Alternatively, you can select “setting” “mail setting” from the menu.

•

You can also select “mail setting” from the submenu in the compose mail screen, compose
Short Mail screen, Chat mail screen, sent/unsent and received mail folder lists, sent/unsent and
received mail lists, and sent/unsent and received mail display screens.

Select “2.automatic” and press

(select).

•

Select “1. manual” to set the phone to not automatically receive images.

When Auto Download is set

•

Only images in the text body of the received mail whose URLs are “http://~.gif” can be downloaded
automatically.

•

Images in mail sent using i-shot cannot be downloaded automatically.

•

Even if you change the Image Download setting from the received mail display screen, the image is not
downloaded in mail being displayed.
