This function is not available for the “SXGA”, “UXGA”, or “2Mpixel” sized still images.

Changing the compression mode

Display a still image and select “edit image” from the submenu.

Select “11.compress mode” and press

(select).

Select the desired compression mode and press

(select).

•

You can select one of “1. super fine”, “2. fine”, “3. standard” and “4. economy”.

•

Even when the compression mode is changed from low resolution to the higher resolution,
image quality is not improved.
When compression mode is changed from “economy” to “super fine”, image quality stays as
“economy”. However, when the compression mode is changed to higher image quality, you can
prevent image quality from dropping when editing the still image.

•

Follow Steps 5 - 6 in

Adding a Frame (see p.172).

•

This function is unavailable for the “i-shot(S)” still images.

•

Available sizes after the change are as follows: “i-shot(S)”, “wallpaper”, “i-shot(L)”, and “VGA”.
You cannot, however, change it to a size greater than the current image size.
