Description
Contours are not adjusted.
soft
Contours are emphasized and the image is softened.
sharp
Contours are emphasized and the image becomes hard-edged.
Item
auto
Description
The color balance is adjusted automatically. This setting can be used when
taking images under fluorescent lights.
outdoor
Used when taking still images or video outdoors on a clear day.
indoor
Used when taking still images or video under lights such as incandescent lamps.
You can set the photo effects (light, contrast, sharpness, white balance, and photo
mode).
•
You can perform the setting with the mova open, and then close it and take still images or video
with the new settings.
•
In the Simple mode,you can set “photo mode” only.
The default settings are used for “light”, “contrast”, “sharpness”, and “white balance”.
In the Pro mode, you can set “light”,“contrast”, “sharpness”, “white balance” and “photo mode”.
The default is set to the Simple mode. For details about switching to the Pro mode, see p.154.

The setting remains effective even after the end of the Camera mode. To return to the default
settings, reset individual settings or reset the photo effect (see p.153).

Each item can be set as described below.
■
Light (Default: level 4)
The brightness can be adjusted to any of 7 levels.
•
You cannot adjust “light” if the photo mode is “super sensitivity up”, “twilight” “woodcut”, “whiten”, or
“suntan”.
■
Contrast (Default: level 4)
The contrast can be adjusted to any of 7 levels.
•
You cannot adjust “contrast” if the photo mode is “super sensitivity up”, “letter”, “woodcut”, “whiten”,
or “suntan”.
■
Sharpness (Default: normal)
You can set the sharpness of the contour from 3 levels.
•
You cannot set “sharpness” when the photo mode is “super sensitivity up”, “scenery”, “night”,
“woodcut”, or “soft touch”.
■
White balance (Default: auto)
You can adjust the overall color balance based on the white portion of the image. You can select one
of 3 white balance settings.
•
You cannot set “white balance” when the photo mode is “super sensitivity up”, “scenery”,
“surf&snow”, “woodcut”, “mono tone [red]”, “mono tone [green]”, “mono tone [blue]”, “monochrome”,
or “sepia”.
