When a new version of an application is contained on a site, you can easily download
the new version from the site.

•

Protected applications cannot be upgraded. Remove the protection, then perform the operation.

•

Some i-

α

ppli programs are automatically upgraded when they are started. 

•

Depending on the application, upgrades may be executed automatically while working with the
application.

Select an application in the software list, and select “upgrade” from the
submenu.

A prompt appears asking whether to upgrade the application.

Select “YES” and press 

(select).

Download starts. When download is completed, the download completed screen appears.

Follow Steps 3 - 4 in

To cancel the operation, select “NO”.

(cancel) to stop downloading.

•

When the site does not contain a new version of the application, the message “software
upgraded” appears.

•

If there is not enough free space in the built-in memory, a prompt appears asking whether to
overwrite existing data (see p.540).

•

When Software Information Display is on, information about the application is displayed when
download starts (see p.419).

•

If the application uses your mova’s mobile phone information or stored data, a prompt appears
asking whether to download the application (see p.419).
