5 Description of the EXP settings

EXP general
5.1 General frost protection for the plant
•
Protects the plant against freezing
When there is a risk of frost, the controller will activate all released pumps of the plant,
thus protecting the heating plant against freeze-ups.
The “General frost protection for the plant” overrides frost protection for the individual
plant components. When “General frost protection for the plant” is deactivated, “Frost
protection by pump operation” will be suppressed for all plant components – on the
other hand, when “General frost protection for the plant” is active, frost protection for
the individual plant components can be switched on an individual basis.
Prerequisite for the proper functioning of “General frost protection for the plant” is a fully
operational plant that works properly. Frost protection for the plant is possible only
when an outside sensor is connected (controller-internal or LPB).

Depending on the selection made, the plant will be protected by activating the pumps.
In that case, the heat sources will
not
be put into operation.
The heat sources are put into operation only if this is demanded either by frost protec-
tion according to the component temperature (refer to chapter 6 “Frost protection”), or
by frost protection for the building (according to the room temperature, operating line
28).

display error message 10.
