6.9.5 For the buffer storage tank
If the buffer storage tank temperature drops too much, a heat demand signal will be
triggered. If the buffer storage tank is equipped with an electric immersion heater (refer
to operating lines 146 and 172), the demand for heat is delivered to the electric immer-
sion heater or, otherwise, to a controllable heat source (oil- or gas-fired boiler).
If… then…
The buffer storage tank temperature at the coldest sensor
falls below 7 °C …
(TPx < 7 °C)
… the frost protection func-
tion for the buffer storage
tank becomes
active.
The buffer storage tank temperature at the coldest sensor
rises to at least 10 °C …
(TPx > 10 °C)
… the frost protection func-
tion for the buffer storage
tank will be
terminated.

The frost protection setpoint of the buffer storage tank is factory-set at 5 °C and
cannot be changed.
