4.150 Maximum buffer storage tank charging
temperature
•
Temperature limitation for buffer storage tank charging by the solar collector
As soon as the coldest buffer storage tank sensor reaches this temperature, charging
by the solar collector will be stopped (the collector pump will be deactivated).

buffer storage tank safety temperature
Shutdown takes place only if the collector’s overtemperature protection is not active
(operating lines 300
EXP
– 303
EXP
). If the collector’s overtemperature protection is active,
buffer storage tank charging will continue until the storage tank’ safety temperature is
reached (operating line 450
EXP
). Then, the collector pump will be deactivated even if the
collector’s overtemperature protection is still active.
4.151 Automatic heat generation lock
•
Automatic heat generation lock that can be deactivated
If the buffer storage tank is hot enough to provide space heating (adjustable
Δ
T on op-
erating line 474), the controller will lock the controllable heat sources.
If this kind of locking is not desired, it can be deactivated on this operating line.

Automatic heat generation lock is deactivated.
0
Automatic heat generation lock is activated.
Heat generation will be locked as soon as the criteria defined on operating line
474 for the buffer storage tank sensor at the top are satisfied.
1
Automatic heat generation lock is activated
Heat generation will be locked as soon as the criteria defined on operating line
474 for the buffer storage tank sensors at the top and bottom are satisfied.
If the heat pump runs when the automatic heat generation lock responds, it will be
locked only when reaching its switch-off point – in contrast to the other controllable heat
sources.
The automatic heat generation lock does not operate when there is demand for heat
from the d.h.w. storage tank since it cannot always be ensured that the d.h.w. storage
tank can be charged by the buffer storage tank (hydraulic system). When there is a
valid demand for heat, therefore, a controllable heat source will be put into operation.
If d.h.w. charging by the buffer storage tank is desired, function “Automatic transfer”
(operating lines 530 through 535) can be appropriately set.
