5.23 Maximum waiting time
•
Adjustable period of time to check the rate of collector temperature increase
During the maximum waiting time, the controller checks the rate of collector tempera-
ture increase and – if permitted by the temperature differential – switches charging to
the priority storage tank.

When using 2 storage tanks (buffer and d.h.w. storage tank / or combi storage tank), it
can be selected which of the storage tanks shall be charged by the solar collector with
priority (refer to operating line 333). Function “Maximum waiting time” is active only if
“Relative priority” (setting 2 or 4) was selected.
If the switch-on criteria for charging the priority storage tank are not met, the storage
tank with no priority will be charged. On completion of the maximum storage tank
charging time, charging will be stopped and the controller checks if, during the maxi-
mum waiting time, the switch-on criteria for charging the priority storage tank will be
met. As soon as they are satisfied, the priority storage tank will be charged (no waiting
for the end of the maximum waiting time). If the switch-on criteria are not met during the
maximum waiting time, charging of the storage tank with no priority will be started again
during the maximum storage tank charging time.
5.24 Changeover / startup delay
bypass valve / charging pump K9
•
Constant temperature level in the collector circuit
•
Changeover / startup delay time
The changeover delay time ensures that the collector circuit is heated up at regular
intervals before charging is released.

During off hours, cold water accumulated in the collector’s inlet and outlet pipes. That
water temperature is considerably lower than the temperature of the water in the col-
lector.
To ensure the water in the collector circuit is heated up at regular intervals, the collector
pump is put into operation for the changeover delay time that can be adjusted here
while the collector circuit is closed.
Only on completion of this period of time will the diverting valve or the charging pump
switch to storage tank charging.
