4.19 Partial storage tank Y14 / Y
¯
14 / B43 (ZuFu2)
Due to the hydraulic decoupling of the lower part of the buffer storage tank, the storage
tank volume that can be heated up will be reduced. The upper part of the storage tank
will therefore be heated quicker. The lower part will be heated only after the upper part
has reached the required temperature level.

So that partial storage tank charging is activated, both diverting valve Y14 (and / or
Y¯14) and sensor B43 must be assigned to a free terminal. If only one of the 2 compo-
nents is assigned, an error message will appear under “Configuration errors” (operating
line 202).
Operating line 143 (relay assignment
):
101...110
Diverting valve Y14 can be assigned to a free relay terminal between
Q101 and Q110.
---
No assignment made and partial charging of the storage tank is not
activated.
Operating line 144 (relay assignment for the inverted signal):
101...110
The inverted signal for diverting valve
Y¯14
can be assigned to a free
relay terminal between Q101 and Q110.
It is required for the control of 2-wire actuators (in addition to Y14). As
soon as relay Y14 is deenergized, relay Y¯14 will be energized with a
delay of 1 second, and vice versa.
--- No
assignment
made.
Operating line 145 (sensor assignment):
101...109
Sensor B43 can be assigned to a free sensor terminal between B101
and B109.
--- No
assignment
made.
Partial charging inactive
Diverting valve Y14 changes to “throughput” (position 0) and the entire storage tank will
be charged.
Partial charging active
Diverting valve Y14 changes to “angle” (position 1). This means that only the upper part
of the storage tank will be charged. Then, the behavior will depend on the heat ex-
changer, if present:
•
No heat exchanger in the buffer storage tank
As soon as the temperature acquired with sensor B43 has reached the storage tank
temperature setpoint (slave pointer), the diverting valve will change to “throughput” and
the rest of the storage tank will also be charged. When the temperature at sensor B43
drops 2 K below the storage tank setpoint, the diverting valve will change back to “an-
gle” (partial charging of storage tank).
