3.3.1 Temperature adjustment via the room unit
Temperature adjustment or readjustment via a room unit is active only when automatic
mode has been selected on the controller!
Adjustment made with the controller’s setpoint knob
= controller's nominal room temperature setpoint
The QAW50 room unit has a knob for readjusting the setpoint in a + / - range; the re-
adjustment is added to the setpoint adjusted with the controller’s setpoint knob.

The QAW70 room unit has an absolute setpoint adjustment using an operating line
which replaces the setpoint adjusted with the controller’s setpoint knob, provided auto-
matic mode has been selected on the controller.
In addition, the QAW70 has a knob for readjusting the setpoint in a + / - range; the re-
adjustment is added to the setpoint adjusted with the controller’s setpoint knob.

3.4 Manual
operation

Possibility of manual interference in heat generation and heat distribution
By pressing the button for manual operation, all available heat sources will be put into
operation on a fixed basis, and the circulating pumps of the consumers will be activated.
Activation:
Manual operation is activated by pressing this button. It becomes ac-
cessible only when the cover of the controller is opened.
Manual operation remains active until it gets deactivated again (no
functional timeout)
Deactivation:

By pressing one of the operating mode buttons
•
By pressing again the manual operation button
When deactivating the function, the controller will automatically return to the operating
mode previously selected.
In the event of a power failure during manual operation, the controller will resume man-
ual operation as soon as power is restored.
