Electric immersion heater
4.158 Release outside temperature for electric
immersion heater in the buffer storage tank
Above the release outside temperature, the electric immersion heater in the buffer stor-
age tank is locked for d.h.w. heating. Frost protection always remains active, however.

As soon as the “Attenuated outside temperature” (operating line 704) falls below the
release outside temperature adjusted here, the electric immersion heater will be re-
leased.
Depending on whether the heat sources are operational or locked (defective), the
RVP540 / RVP550 uses the electric immersion heater for reheating or emergency
heating (for description, refer to operating line 170).
4.159 Selection of control sensor for electric
immersion heater in the buffer storage tank
Either common flow temperature sensor B10 or buffer storage tank sensor B4 can be
used as the control sensor for the electric immersion heater in the buffer storage tank.

Buffer storage tank sensor B4
Control is provided with buffer storage tank sensor B4
For the frost protection function of the buffer storage tank, buffer storage tank sensor
B4 is always used – independent of the selected control sensor.
