Description of the EXP settings 18.10.2002
5.63 D.h.w. discharge protection when charging
with the wood-fired boiler
Prevents inadvertent discharging of the d.h.w. storage tank by cold water from the
wood-fired boiler or the buffer storage tank.
Setting range

Factory setting

The setting defines the sensors to be used for discharge protection:
1
Supervision of sensor B22 of the wood-fired boiler.
2
Supervision of sensor B22 of the wood-fired boiler
and
of the respective buffer
storage tank.
The release criteria must be met for both sensors.
Supervision of the buffer storage tank sensor ensures that in the case of d.h.w.
heating with the charging pump, inadvertent supply of cold water by the buffer
storage tank (mixing) will be prevented.
•
D.h.w. heating will be released when the temperature at the supervised sensor(s)
(according to the above selection) lies half a d.h.w. switching differential (operating
line 751
EXP
) above the temperature of the coldest d.h.w. storage tank sensor
•
It will be stopped again when the temperature at the supervised sensor(s) ap-
proaches the temperature of the coldest d.h.w. storage tank sensor by 1/8 of the
d.h.w. switching differential
When using a diverting valve in place of a charging pump, function “D.h.w. discharge
protection when charging with a wood-fired boiler” will be deactivated.
