Description of the EXP settings

5.45 Switching differential of minimum water /
brine temperature
•
Prevents heat pump cycling in the event of small variations of the minimum water /
brine temperature
In operation, the temperature of the heat source (lake, river or ground water) can
slightly vary. To ensure that these temperature variations do not cause the heat pump
to continuously cycle near the minimum water / brine temperature (operating line
425
EXP
), the 2 switching points are separated by the switching differential, which can be
adjusted here.

If the water / brine temperature exceeds again the minimum water / brine temperature
by one switching differential (operating line 425
EXP
), the controller will again release the
heat pump.
Buffer storage tank EXP
5.46 Buffer storage tank safety temperature
•
Limitation of the maximum permissible buffer storage tank temperature
The maximum permissible temperature in the buffer storage tank (coldest sensor) can
be adjusted. At this temperature, the collector pump will be deactivated even if collector
overtemperature protection (refer to operating lines 300
EXP
- 302
EXP
) would still require
the pump to run.
Setting range

By using the coldest sensor, the maximum amount of heat energy can be delivered to
the buffer storage tank. If, in the meantime, some other storage tank sensor has ex-
ceeded the absolute temperature limit (operating line 450
EXP
+5 K), any charging opera-
tion will be stopped, even if the coldest sensor has not yet reached the maximum safety
temperature.
For the settings required in connection with buffer storage tank overtemperature pro-
tection, refer to operating lines 490…495.
