4.237 Setpoint of the legionella function

Adjustable temperature level to kill legionella bacteria
The setpoint of the legionella function is an adjustable temperature level to which the
d.h.w. temperature is raised when the legionella function is activated. For details, also
refer to "Legionella function", operating line 790.

The setting changes the d.h.w. setpoint during the period of time the d.h.w. is heated
up as a result of the legionella function.
To ensure effective killing of the legionella bacteria, the setpoint of the legionella func-
tion must be adjusted to a minimum of 60 °C. Too high temperatures (above approxi-
mately 70 °C) do not offer any additional benefit but only lead to the formation of scale
in the storage tank.

at the time of day set here.

4.239 Dwelling time at legionella function setpoint

Function deactivated (no dwelling time)
The dwelling time starts as soon as the legionella setpoint is reached. During the entire
dwelling time, the temperature may not fall below the legionella setpoint by more than
the d.h.w. switching differential (operating line 751

legionella function is terminated when this criterion is met.
If the legionella function cannot be performed within 40 hours since it was last triggered
(temperature not in the desired range during the entire dwelling time), operating line 50
will display an error message and the legionella function will be repeated at the next
time set (see operating lines 790 and 791).
