4.233 D.h.w. charging time limitation
The period of time during which the controllable heat sources charge the d.h.w. storage
tank can be limited. If the charging setpoint is not reached within the predefined period
of time, d.h.w. charging will be interrupted for the same period of time and then re-
sumed.

4.234 Changeover to d.h.w. heating with electric
immersion heater
If the heat source (heat pump) is not sized for delivering the flow temperature required
for d.h.w. heating (especially for the legionella function), the additional amount of heat
required can be supplied by the electric immersion heater.

As soon as the changeover temperature adjusted here is reached, the controller will
switch the heat source off and the electric immersion heater on. The electric immersion
heater remains in operation until the required setpoint is reached.
The setpoint must be reached at the sensor that was selected for “Recharge control
d.h.w. storage tank (operating line 521).
The electric immersion heater must be located beneath the selected sensors.
Changeover from the electric immersion heater to the previous heat source takes place
as soon as the temperature at the respective sensor has dropped 1 K below the
changeover point adjusted above.
With the heat pump, the changeover point may not lie above the maximum switch-off
temperature (operating line 400
EXP
).
