Description of the heating engineer settings
18.10.2002
If the temperature differential for swimming pool heating is sufficient, the swim-
ming pool will be heated. The "Maximum storage tank charging time" and the
"Maximum waiting time" also apply here.
3
Absolute priority for buffer storage tank or heat exchanger 1
If the switch-on criterion is met (operating line 329), the buffer storage tank will
be charged first. If not, the controller waits until the switch-on criterion is satisfied
and then charges the buffer storage tank until its temperature setpoint is
reached. Only then will d.h.w. storage tank charging be started.
4
Relative priority for d.h.w. storage tank or heat exchanger 2
If the switch-on criterion is met (operating line 331), the d.h.w. storage tank will
be charged first. As soon as the nominal d.h.w. temperature setpoint is reached
(operating line 26), charging of the buffer storage tank is started.
If the switch-on criterion of the d.h.w. storage tank is not met (
Δ
T too small), but
those of the buffer storage tank are, the buffer storage tank will be charged dur-
ing the “Maximum storage tank charging time” (operating line 304
EXP
). On com-
pletion of that period of time, the charging pump stops to check whether the col-
lector with no load will reach the temperature level required for charging the
d.h.w. storage tank. If that is the case, the d.h.w. storage tank will be charged. If
not, charging of the buffer storage tank will be resumed.
If the temperature differential required for charging the d.h.w. storage tank is
reached during the “Maximum storage tank charging time”, d.h.w. storage tank
charging will immediately be started. Charging of the buffer storage tank will
continue only when the d.h.w. storage tank is completely charged.
If neither the buffer nor the d.h.w. storage tank switch-on criterion is satisfied,
there will be no charging.
If the temperature differential for swimming pool heating is sufficient, the swim-
ming pool will be heated. The “Maximum storage tank charging time” and the
“Maximum waiting time” also apply here.
5
Absolute priority for d.h.w. storage tank or heat exchanger 2
If the switch-on criterion is met (operating line 331), the d.h.w. storage tank will
be charged first. If not, the controller waits until the switch-on criterion is satisfied
and then charges the d.h.w. storage tank until the nominal d.h.w. temperature
setpoint TBWw is reached (operating line 26).
Only then will buffer storage tank charging be started.
Settings 4 and 5 will also be influenced by automatic summer / winter changeover.
When the controller switches to summer operation, the heat demand of the buffer stor-
age tank will be deactivated (heating OFF). It is only the d.h.w. storage tank that is
charged.
The buffer storage tank will be charged only when the d.h.w. storage tank has reached
its maximum charging temperature (refer to operating line 523). This prevents the
d.h.w. storage tank from exceeding a certain temperature level. By charging or trans-
ferring heat, the amount of heat contained in the buffer storage tank can also be used
in the summer.
