Playing your Flash SWF files
The Macromedia Flash SWF file format is for deploying Flash content.
You can play Flash content in the following ways:

In Internet browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer that are equipped with Flash
Player 8
■
With the Flash Xtra in Director and Authorware
■
With the Flash ActiveX control in Microsoft Office and other ActiveX hosts
■
As part of a QuickTime video
■
As a stand-alone video called a projector
The Flash SWF format is an open standard that is supported by other applications. For more
