The R&S order numbers for the 2, 4, and 8

1411.1003.04 and 1411.1003.08 respectively.
8.3 Connection of a Cascade
8.3.1 Clock Lines
In a cascade, all measuring instruments involved are supplied with a common refer-
ence clock signal to enable synchronous measured value acquisition. Starting at the
master device, the clock signal is passed from slave to slave by means of a daisy
chain.
Beginning with the master, the "CLOCK OUT" BNC output is connected to the
"CLOCK IN" BNC input on the rear of the next instrument in the chain.
Commercially available 50 Ω BNC cables are used as connecting lines.
8.3.2 Trigger Lines
The trigger event for starting the measured value acquisition is always generated by
the master device and also distributed by daisy chain to all connected slaves.
Beginning with the master, the "TRIGGER OUT" BNC output is connected to the
"TRIGGER IN" BNC input on the rear of the next instrument in the chain.
