"Off"
Second Monitor is switched off.
"Input Monitor" Settings and remote commands are the same as for Input Monitor,
"Level Monitor" Settings and syntax of remote commands are the same as for Level
Monitor, see
the remote commands use suffix 2. The parameter syntax is OFF |
IRMS | DC | IPEak.
"Function Monitor"
For FFT or Post-FFT measurements, RMS and DC are calculated in
the frequency domain via FFT. Settings and syntax of remote com-
mands are the same as for Level Monitor, see
on page 456. However, the remote commands use suffix 2.
The parameter syntax is OFF | RMSFft | DCFft | IPEak.
For FFT Mode Overlap or Gapless, two function monitors are availa-
ble. Settings and syntax of remote commands are the same as for
Level Monitor. The two function monitors are controlled separately via
suffix 2 and 6. The parameter syntax is the same except for PEAK
(suffix 2) vs IPEak (suffix 6).

5.38.1
Applications
Every signal that is output by the R&S
UPP generator passes through several delay
elements until it returns via the "DUT" to the measurement hardware of the R&S
UPP
analyzer. The delay times must be taken into account in order to prevent a new mea-
surement being started – after a signal change – before the new signal becomes visi-
ble on the analyzer. The total measurement time, therefore, is made up of the actual
measurement time and the delay time.
The internal delays of the R&S
UPP are known and taken into account automatically
on starting a measurement. The instrument delays are in the range of a few millisec-
