OTE
For the EHV Circuit Breaker (Figure A.105), the Instrument uses the
data for Main Contact 1 from the phase where the motion channel is
activated to calculate the average velocity.

Contact Open – Distance
The Circuit Breaker’s Average Velocity is
calculated for the interval between when the Main
Contacts part and the point in time that
corresponds to the specified distance.
Figure A.106 on page A-90 shows the operation of
this zone type for a circuit breaker.
