Passenger presence sensor cover: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a
Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting ) (MR 415, 02A, Lifting equip-
ment).

Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting ) .
a
Remove:
- the front seat (see Complete front seat: Removal
- Refitting ) (MR 416, 75A, Front seat frames and
runners),
- the front seat lower casings (see Front seat lower
casing: Removal - Refitting ) (MR 416, 77A, Front
seat trim),
- the front seat base trim (see Front seat base trim:
Removal - Refitting ) (MR 416, 77A, Front seat
trim).

Detach the heated seat pad (see Heated seat pad:
Removal - Refitting ) (MR 416, 79A, Seat compo-
nents).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a
Disconnect the passenger presence sensor cover
connector (
1 ) .
IMPORTANT
Consult the safety and cleanliness advice and oper-
ation recommendations before carrying out any
repair (see
Airbag and pretensioners: Precau-
tions for the repair ) .
IMPORTANT
To ensure the functioning of pyrotechnic compo-
nents, do not detach the passenger presence sen-
sor cover.
If the passenger presence sensor cover is removed,
it must be replaced along with the seat cushion
trim.
