DIESEL INJECTION

Remove the rail pressure sensor ( 1 ) .
a
Fit a blanking plug.
REFITTING

Remove the blanking plug from the injector rail.
a
Torque tighten the rail pressure sensor (80 N.m) .
III - FINAL OPERATION
a
Refit:
- the injector rail on the back row (see 13B , Diesel
injection , Injector rail: Removal - Refitting , page
13B-189 ) ,
- the damper valve (see 12A , Fuel mixture , Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting , page 12A-39 ) ,
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A ,
Antipollution , Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting , page 14A-62 ) ,
- the high pressure pipe between the rails (see 13B ,
Diesel injection , High pressure pipe between
rails: Removal - Refitting , page 13B-184 ) ,
- the high pressure pipes between the rail and injec-
tor of the back row (see 13B , Diesel injection ,
High pressure pipe between rail and injector:
Removal - Refitting
, page 13B-161 ) ,
- the injector rail protector on the back row (see 13B ,
Diesel injection , Injector rail protector: Remov-
al - Refitting , page 13B-126 ) .

Fill and bleed the cooling system (see 19A , Cool-
ing , Cooling system: Draining - Refilling , page
19A-16 ) .
a
Refit:
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting ) (55A, Exterior protection),
- the front wheel arch liners (see Front wheel arch
liner: Removal - Refitting ) (55A, Exterior protec-
tion),
- the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting )
(35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray.

Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting ) (80A, Battery).
a
Prime the diesel circuit using the manual priming
pump.
a
Switch on after ignition.
a
Connect the Diagnostic tool .
a
In the Diagnostic tool :
- select the repair mode,
- select the programming mode,
- select command SC 035: HIGH PRESSURE FUEL
CIRCUIT FAULT FINDING .
a
Check:
- the correct operation of the high pressure fuel cir-
cuit,

WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
