COOLING
Electric coolant pump: Removal - Refitting

Remove the tools (Ms. 583) from the electric coolant
pump inlet and outlet hoses.
II - FINAL OPERATION
a
Position the gearbox wiring.
a
Clip:
- the gearbox wiring,
- the gearbox connector on its support.
a
Connect the gearbox wiring connector.
a
Fit the max fuse box.
a
Refit:
- the max fuse box,
- the air filter unit (see 12A , Fuel mixture , Air filter
unit: Removal - Refitting , page 12A-13 ) ,
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
a
Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting ) (80A, Battery).
a
Bleed the cooling system (see 19A , Cooling , Cool-
ing system: Draining - Refilling , page 19A-16 ) .

I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a
Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting ) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a
Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting ) (80A, Battery).
a
Remove:
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front left-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting ) (35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the front left-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting ) (55A, Ex-
terior protection).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a
Fit the tools (Ms. 583) on the cooling hoses at the
electric coolant pump inlet and outlet.
a
Separate the cooling hose clip ( 10 ) at the electric
coolant pump outlet using the tool (Mot. 1448) .
a
Disconnect the cooling hose at the electric coolant
pump outlet.
a
Separate the cooling hose clip ( 11 ) at the electric
coolant pump inlet using the tool (Mot. 1448) .
a
Disconnect the cooling hose at the electric coolant
pump inlet.
