Sunroof deflector: Removal - Refitting

REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a
Refit the sunroof deflector (this operation requires
two people).
a
Position the deflector return spring.
a
Keep applying pressure to the deflector at ( 3 ) .
a
Torque tighten then sunroof deflector bolts (2
N.m) (2) and (1) .
a
Clean the area ( 4 ) using a LINT-FREE CLOTH
soaked in HEPTANE (see Vehicle: Parts and con-
sumables for the repair ) (04B, Consumables -
Products).
a
Wipe the area ( 4 ) with a clean, dry LINT-FREE
CLOTH (see Vehicle: Parts and consumables for
the repair ) (04B, Consumables - Products).
a
Using a fine brush, grease the area ( 4 ) with OPEN-
ING ELEMENT GREASE (see Vehicle: Parts and
consumables for the repair ) (04B, Consumables -
Products).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
a
Apply the after repair procedure using the Diagnos-
tic tool :
- connect the Diagnostic tool ,
- select « UCH » ,
- go to repair mode,
- display the « before/after repair procedure » for the
computer selected,
- select « sunroof motor » in the « List of the compo-
nents controlled by this computer » section,
- carry out the operations described in the « After re-
pair procedure » section.
Note:
When « removing - refitting » the sunroof deflec-
tor, apply some
HIGH RESISTANCE THREAD-
LOCK (see Vehicle: Parts and consumables
for the repair ) (04B, Consumables - Products) to
the sunroof deflector bolts.
When replacing the sunroof deflector, replace the
bolts with those supplied with the sunroof deflec-
tor.
