ENGINE AND CYLINDER BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Engine - gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting

Connect the union of the brake servo vacuum pipe.
a
Fit the inlet cooling hose of the exhaust cooler.
a
Connect:
- the inlet cooling hose of the exhaust cooler,
- the outlet cooling hose of the heater matrix.
a
Fit the clip of the outlet cooling hose of the heater
matrix using the
(Mot. 1448) .
a
Remove the blanking plugs.
a
Refit:
- new seals for the air conditioning pipe,
- the air conditioning pipe.
a
Torque tighten the air conditioning pipe nut (8
N.m) .
a
Clip on the air conditioning pipes.
a
Torque tighten the air conditioning pipe bolt (8
N.m) .
a
Position the fuel pipes.
a
Fasten the fuel return pipes on their supports.
a
Connect:
- the fuel temperature sensor connector,
- the quick-release unions of the fuel supply and re-
turn pipes.
a
Fit the rigid cooling pipes.
a
Refit:
- the bolt of the rigid cooling pipes,
- the nut of the rigid cooling pipes.
a
Connect the inlet cooling hose of the heater matrix.
a
Fit the engine wiring.
a
Clip on the engine wiring.
a
Connect:
- the exhaust gas pressure sensor connector,
- the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector,
- the turbocharger control solenoid valve connector.
a
Fit:
- the protective sheath of the gearbox wiring,
- the supply wiring of the battery disconnection unit.
a
Clip on the supply wiring of the battery disconnection
unit.
a
Refit:
- the nut of the protective sheath of the gearbox wir-
ing,
- the bolt of the protective sheath of the gearbox wir-
ing.
a
Position the electric diesel heater wiring.
a
Clip on the electric diesel heater wiring.
a
Connect:
- the electric diesel heater connector,
- the connector of the water detection sensor on the
diesel filter,
- the connector of the air conditioning pressure sen-
sor.
a
Clip the wiring onto the protective sheath of the
gearbox wiring.
a
Fit the engine wiring.
a
Connect the engine harness connectors.
a
Fit the earth wire.
a
Torque tighten the earth wire bolt (21 N.m) .
a
Fit the earth wires.
a
Torque tighten the earth wire nuts (8 N.m) .
a
Fit the engine wiring.
a
Connect the engine wiring connector.
a
Clip:
- the engine wiring connector on the front left-hand
wing panel,
- the xenon bulb computer wiring.
a
Connect the xenon bulb computer connector.
a
Refit the air resonator (see 12A , Fuel mixture , Air
resonator: Removal - Refitting , page 12A-28 ) .
a
Fit the earth wiring on the front left-hand side mem-
ber.
a
Torque tighten the earth nuts on the front left-
hand side member (8 N.m) .
a
Fit the gearbox computer wiring.
a
Clip on the gearbox computer wiring.
a
Connect the gearbox computer connector.
a
Refit the electric coolant pump of the turbocharger
(see
19A , Cooling , Electric coolant pump: Re-
moval - Refitting , page 19A-159 ) .
a
Fit the max fuse box.
a
Clip on the fuse holder assembly.
a
Refit:
- the fuse assembly,
- the max fuse box support.
