ENGINE AND CYLINDER BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Engine - gearbox assembly: Removal - Refitting

Separate the fuse holder ( 16 ) from the fuse holder
plate.
a
Disconnect the connector ( 17 ) from the electric cool-
ant pump.
a
Remove the bolt ( 18 ) from the electric coolant pump
on the body.
a
Unclip:
- the gearbox control cables from the gear selector
ball joints ( 19 ) ,
- the control cables from their support ( 20 ) .
a
Disconnect the reverse gear sensor connector.
a
Fit the tool (Ms. 583) on the clutch pipe.
a
Unclip the clutch rigid pipe from the gearbox.
a
Disconnect the clutch rigid pipe from the clutch
thrust bearing.
a
Fit blanking plugs onto the clutch pipe union and
clutch thrust bearing union.
a
Remove:
- the gear control cables,
- the rigid clutch pipe.

WARNING
Prepare for the flow of fluid, and protect the sur-
rounding components.
Note:
Do not damage the rigid clutch pipe.
