WIRING HARNESS
Engine wiring: Removal - Refitting

Unclip the passenger compartment wiring harness
at (
67 ) .
a
Remove the wiring channel nut on the front left-hand
side member (
68 ) .
a
Move aside the wiring channel ( 69 ) on the front left-
hand side member.
a
Remove the engine wiring.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a
If replacing with more wiring, lock the unused con-
nectors (see
Connectors: Sealing and immobili-
sation ) (Technical Note 6015A, 88A, Wiring).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a
a
Refit:
- the engine wiring,
- the wiring channel on the front left-hand side mem-
ber,
- the nut on the wiring channel.
a
Tighten the nut on the wiring channel.
a
Clip:
- the passenger compartment wiring harness on the
wiring channel,
- the wiring on the engine cooling fan assembly.
a
Connect:
- the engine cooling fan assembly connector,
- the engine cooling fan assembly resistor connec-
tor,
- the refrigerant pressure sensor connector.
a
Refit the two earth nuts on the front left-hand side
member.
a
Torque tighten the two earth nuts on the front left-
hand side member (8 N.m) .
a
Refit:
- the gearbox wiring channel,
- the upper nuts on the gearbox.
a
Torque tighten the upper nuts on the gearbox (44
Nm) .
a
Clip on the cooling hose.
a
Refit:
- the nut on the engine wiring retaining ring on the
cylinder head,
- the earth bolt on the gearbox.
a
Tighten:
- the nut on the engine wiring retaining ring,
- the earth bolt on the gearbox to torque (21 Nm) .
a
Connect:
- the pre-postheating unit connector,
- the power-assisted steering pump assembly con-
nectors,
- the reversing sensor connector,
- the oil level sensor connector,
- the rail pressure sensor connector,

WARNING
To prevent any damage during the removal oper-
ation, check that the wiring is free from its mount-
ings (retaining clip, plastic clip, adhesive tape,
connector, etc.).
WARNING
To prevent damage to the wiring harness when
refitting, observe the original routing.
